I made my vodka 148 proof because Brushy Mountain Road is 148 turns in 14 miles.
The best selling spirit is an 80 proof vodka. 80 proof is 40% vodka and 60% water. Since US vodka should be odorless and tasteless, I wanted to bring mine out at 160 proof to try and start a conversation with customers about their perceptions about vodka. In NC, we are limited to 151 proof and I didn’t want to be confused with 151 rum or E Clear. 148 proof seemed like a great fit! I treat my vodka with 2 different process and it is diluted with my farms water which is some of the purest water on earth! Stop buying water at the liquor store!
