Healthy Alcohol?

Alcohol and sugar should be treated the same. Alcohol is the conversionn of sugar into ethanol and other byproducts. These byproducts are either included and/or separated out depending on what the final beverage is in particular. Alcohol fascinates me in that there is no particular one size fits all approach to define what moderation of consumption is with beverage alcohol. Beer and wine are both simple fermentations that create many off alcohols that are really not good you. They are in very low concentrations if the product is made correctly but they are there. Think foreshots every time you take a sip. Distilled spirits are the separation of the alcohol from the ferment and those alcohols are separated further to make a finished product. That sentence has a lot of room to expand but I will leave that for your tasting when you by the distillery. Jacked alcohol is the concentration of alcohol and other parts of the ferment. The benefit of jacked is the concentration of the flavonoids from the apple. This organic chemistry is the chemistry of life! I believe that the USA is a superior nation because our ‘Water of Life’ in the beginning came from apples and we froze them to concentrate. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, well, our founders had much more than just their one per day! I spent 18+ years in the alcohol business and had no clue what Applejack meant or what it was. I get my apples many ways these days but always enjoy a concentrated Applejohn
